DRUM AND BASS BONANZA #06

First up it’s the brand new EP and accompanying free download from Arizona based producer, Quentin Hiatus. “The conspirators EP” dropped last week on Quentin’s own digital imprint Free Love Digi. His sound has to be heard to be appreciated so give it a listen and grab the free download as well.

My Ukrainian homeboy, Fade, has also been busy with his label, Faded Music, since he got back from his tour of Europe last month. First up he dropped the “Collaboration LP”, which featured a collection of collabs between Fade and some of his friends. He then followed that up with the “Galaxy EP”. Another 3 tracks of Faded Music goodness.

The Tokyo Prose album on Samurai Music also appeared earlier in August. The album is a piece of absolute liquid deliciousness. Highlights for me include the tracks featuring Riya and Fox.

With that track and the forthcoming collab with Calibre and Marcus, which tore up Sun and Bass last year, Fox is definitely on a roll. This one comes out in the middle of September on Calibre’s label, Signature.

It seems like a long time ago now, but at the end of July Om Unit released his Cosmology compilation on Cosmic Bridge (read the Headliner Mag interview with Om Unit). My pick of the bunch is the release’s opening track “Nuff Music” by Om Unit and Moresounds.

Break has also been going hard on the releases front with a single on Sigma’s label as well as these two gems. The first came out on Break’s own label a couple of weeks ago and the second is due to hit the shops on September 8th courtesy of Texas based Warm Comms.

Aaaaand finally… The last tunes to catch my eye for this month’s Bonanza come from the Different Music camp out of London. Fixate’s new single “Pum Pum” dropped on Diffrent’s new sister label, Giraffestep as well as this banger by M-Zine, Scepticz and Axon, which dropped on the original label.
